Several of my computers are unable to resolve using a UNC path. If they connect to the network drive using the UNC it opens up an empty drive. If the IP address is used in the UNC path of the remote computer the contents are displayed correctly. The problem is that this is not happening on all our workstations, most workstations work fine with the UNC. The UNC path is to a server in a remote office, connected via two Cisco Concentrator using VPN, we are also using two Riverbed Steelhead Appliances model 1520. We have 11 Virtual servers that include two Windows Server 2003 DNS servers all local. (if I am missing any key information please let me know)
UNC \\ATLSTORE\ (comes up blank on some computers)
IP \\10.0.0.6\ (works fine on all computers)
The computers I am having this problem with are Windows XP workstations, and the computers that work are also Windows XP workstations. If anyone has any ideas as to what might be causing this I would appreciate any feedback that you can prvide.
Thank you.
