I have a few tapes in my tape library with which I am working thru NBU 4.5. I need to be able to easily erase the data written to tapes at any time, but when I try deleting a volume, it tell me Assigned media cannot be deleted. I am wondering how I should unassign media. I have expired all images on one of the tapes and still, I can't delete it. I find this procedure of erasing tapes much more straight-forward in CA BrightStore Arcserve. Why does NBU happen to be so ambigious when it comes to procedures for erasing/formatting tapes which have been already assigned and written to by NBU?
