unable to view .MSG attachments in Outllok 2000

My colleague has received an email, with an attachment. It is an evelope icon(.msg attachment). Which he has forwarded to me, and I open it and see what the sender required us to see. My colleague gets a blank screen, as ifg the original sender, had not typed in anything.

Can anyone help?
