Unable to view Microsft word97 docs in word.

My Problem is I can view the documents if I browse thru explorer, and I can open the document via explorer. As soon as I launch word and try to find the documents thru word I can't see the documents. Any ideas guys.

What version are you using and, when you open, is the All files or *.doc selected as type? _{If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

The user has Office 97, and the All Files option is selected. I did also try viewing with the *.doc option.

Sorry, but it sounds as you are in a wrong folder, maybe one with the same name that creates the confusion?
But, can you see anything when you do File - Open and the All Files is chosen? _{If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.
