One of my users has 13 unread messages in his inbos (according to outlook) but when he clicks on his inbox nothing shows. His account is OK in exchange 5.5 as I deleted exhange server in his outlook and reinstalled it. It resolved the name OK. Anybody any suggestions. Thanks Dave

check filters and views. Have you tried to open his mailbox on another machine with a fresh profile?

Is it a sub folder that he can't see?

If you have Backup Exec, go through the restore section and have a look at his top of information store/inbox folder.

Is it filtered?

Both brontosaurus and Zelandakh are right. Here is how to do it:

From the user's Outlook, in Inbox view, right-click a blank spot in any view type, and select Customize Current View, in the View Summary menu, select Filter. Set Filter OFF, you will be able to have all the unread mails show up.

Hope it helped. It's not about whether you can do it or not, it's about HOW
