Hi Folks,
Having a problem with a member server in a native 2000 domain in that I am unable to use security groups to assign users rights to files and folders.
I can use the everyone group but this is no good as I need to ensure staff only have access to thier own areas.
I can assign the individual users to the folders and they are able to use the system fine. If I assign the users to a sec group (not a dist group)and then assign the group to the folder they have no access unless everyone is assigned and then they have the everyone access rights.
The folders are off a share which has change access applied.
Even the admins have to be explicitly set on the folders to enable then to have access.
I'm confuseled.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Pete
