I'm unable to program the ip-services for BCMR connectivity on an S8300. When I set the service type as 'SAT' and set the local node as 'procr', the system returns "procr" Local node name cannot be procr if service type is SAT'.

I have processor ethernet enabled in my license file and the system is running fine. The procr ip-interface settings appear ok. I get the same results when I tried on different R4.x and R5.x systems with an S8300.

Does anyone have BCMR connectivity successfully setup on an S8300

you can't add a "SAT" on the IP-Services form with processor ethernet. You will just have to use port 5023 (telnet), or port 5022 (ssh/putty), for a SAT session.

Mitch,

Your advice was correct! I left the CM side untouched and only configured the BCMR server settings to point to the S8300, used 5023, and it connected. I never would've figured this out.

Thank you....
