Dear friends, I have Exchange 2000 with the latest service pack applied running on Windows 2000 Server updated daily. My problem is this: if I try to enter OWA from internet explorer with I get the IE 6 window split vertically into two tabs each one containing an error The Page Cannot Be Found.
I checked with Firefox and got the same error.
On the server, in Internet Information Services everything is working fine. Does anyone have an hint for me?
Thanks to everybody.

Sorry. I forgot to tell that I already tried the https way. The error I get is "The page cannot be displayed".

May it be that I installed a local certification authority on the server?

Alessandro

You don't NEED a CA for OWA to work.
Make sure FBA is NOT TURNED ON if you're not using SSL(CA). Go to the properties of the HTTP Virtual Server in ESM and make sure the Forms Based Authentication box is NOT checked.

I created a private certification authority only to issue certificates for smartcard logon.

If I try to enter the properties of the HTTP Virtual Server in ESM I am told that I must use IIS Admin to manage it. Then I went to Internet Services Manager, entered the Exchange folder properties but I could not find the check you told me about.
Can you please send me the correct path to follow?

Best regards

You have to use the IIS Admin to configure SSL for OWA. The only thing that ESM would be used for (in this issue) is to enable FBA & compression.

BTW - Firefox won't work as well as IE for OWA. Not bashing on Firefox (I use it). It's just the fact that OWA was designed around IE.
