I have searched the forums and see that this subject has come up before, but the suggested remedy did not have any effect for me.

I am running Outlook 2000 on Win98Se, accessing an Exchange 5.5 server. Every time I add or change a calendar event, after about 5 minutes I get a dialog with the above message - twice in a row. Everything seems to work normally otherwise, but it is thoroughly annoying not knowing why it is doing that and how to make it stop.

Starting Outlook with the /cleanfreebusy switch had no effect. Searching the Microsoft Knowledgebase turned up articles related to using Schedule+ (which I am not) and accessing 'mail stores' a la Microsoft Mail (which I also am not).

Anyone have any new ideas?

Thanks!

Have you tried recreated your Outlook profile? joegz

I would try this switch instead:

/CleanSchedPlus Deletes all Schedule+ data (free/busy, permissions, and .CAL file) from the server
and allows the free/busy information from the Outlook Calendar to be used and
viewed by all Schedule+ 1.0 users.

Here are some others that might help as well:

/CleanFreeBusy Cleans and regenerates free/busy information.

/Cleanfinders Removes saved searches from the Exchange Server store.

/CleanReminders Cleans and regenerates reminders.

/CleanViews Restores default views. ~cdogg

Check permissions on Public Folders. Looks like someone changed them.
