Unable to See DLT Library

Hi All

Having some drama with ArcServ 2000.

The setup is Proliant DL 380

Library is a Compaq TL891 DLX (two 40/80 DLT's)

Arcserv 2000 was backed up to another server and Windows 2000 patches where applied. Then Arcserv 11 was installed but didn't find the tape library as mentioned above but as a DEC 800. We removed AS11.

I then tried a trial copy of Veritas as a test. It all worked well. Veritas was removed.

We then reinstalled AS 2000 with patches. Ran a device setup (wizard) and it detected all as being well. However when I go to run an inventory the drives appear but the option to run the inventory doesn't appear ?

Also the drive is listed as a DEC model ?

I'm fresh out of ideas anyone have any sugesstions ?

We found a fix.

CA have released additional patches for Arcserve 2000.

I installed SP5 QO49312 and quite a few tape library problems seem to have been fixed.
