I'm using Netbackup 6.0MP4. I've configured and successfully run an NDMP backup from our NAS appliance. I'd like to restore the backup to a different NAS appliance (Netapp).
The restore job kicks off okay and places the first tape in the drive. It then establishes an NDMP connection to the Netapp filer.
At this point I get the following:
Error ndmpagent(pid 2012)write to socket returned -1 10053(An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine)
.
.
.
The restore failed to recover the requested files.
A couple of things. I've run a tpautoconf -verify ndmp_host_name from the netbackup server and sucessfully authenticated ndmp to the filer. It seems that the Netapp is aborting the connection, but there is nothing in the log files on the Netapp to indicate any errors.
Has anyone experienced anything similar when trying to restore via NDMP to a NAS box?
