For some reason, I can not resolve to aol.com with my nslookup set type=mx or any.

I can browse to aol.com and can resolve but typing just aol.com at the nslookup prompt results in time out error.

I have these windows 2003 external DNS servers running for about a year now, but this just started happening a few days ago.

Rest of the domains, such as msn.ca or even aol.ca seem to work fine.

Please help.

Something changed. When you say external dns servers, do you mean they aren't your's? If so, have the owners done anything like change ip addresses? Just a thought.

I have NAT with internal and external DNS servers.

externals are located in DMZ and are used for public.

I haven't changed anything. Initialy I thought AOl was rejecting our mail becuase we didnt' have proper reverse lookup zones, but I took care of it a week ago.
