Hi,

Excel 2000 does not allow *.csv files to be opened from a network drive when the files have been made in XL97. Copying the file to the local drive and opening it there is fine though. The error from XL2000 when trying to open from network drive is:
"xxx.csv cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only, in a read-only location or the server the doc is on is not responding."
**I have administrative rights to the network and the file is not read-only -> so its not a permissions thing and the server is definitely up

Any ideas appreciated,
Anticore

I have seen similar and it was because of Innouculan running on the server. Do you have something similar running on the server? joegz

Thanks for both replies!!

Unfortunatley I am still having the same issue.
I already had the checkbox removed from Ignore Other Apps, so thats not it.
We are not running InnocuLAN on the server however there is NAV running on it. Why is it that this would cause a problem joegz?? Especially since the files open ok in XL97 (sorry for not mentioning that initially!!)

Regards, Anticore
