Hi,

The log files on our Exchange 2000 server were accidentally deleted recently. We were forced to rebuild the mail databases in order to recover and since this, have been getting complaints from some users that they are unable to open or delete certain messages from within Outlook. They may have previously been read, but now show up as unread. I suspect there is some sort of corruption or issue between what the user's Outlook had before the database rebuild and what it has now. Is there a way to get the user's Outlook to "match up" with the new, rebuilt Exchange database?

Thanks in advance.

Check the user permissions to make sure that they have not been changed by the rebuild
Under System Manager\Administrative Group\First Administrative Group select the user and right Click in it, Select Properties\permissions.
