I have built two Win2K domains to test Exch2000.
Domain 1
- Single Win2k DC with Exch2000 installed.
- New users can log onto a domain PC and access their
mailboxes using Outlook.
It works!! Hooray!!
Domain 2
- Single Win2k DC but Exch2000 is installed on a member
server.
- New users can log onto the domain PC but are unable to
access their mailboxes using outlook with message:
unable to open your default e-mail folders. The attempt to lo on to the Microsoft Exchange server computer has failed.
- They are also prompted to re-enter their Username/Domain
name/Password details opening Outlook.
- Administrator CAN log on and access its mailbox from same
PC.
