I have a win2k server and i am trying to add a win2k computer to that domain. I have added th user to the server, but when i switch from the workgroup to domain, it says it wont go "the credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials."

any advice?

Do you have a drive mapped to that server using the Connect As field?

i have a drive mapped to that server already, yes... do i have to have one, or should i NOT have one to make it part of the domain?

you are logged on as local admin when you try to add, right? did you create the computer account at the server?
when it asks you to supply the user and password to join the domain, what did you supply? Did you supply the username/password of the user who is going to use the computer? I believe you have to supply a domain admin info.

Yeah.. the computer i was adding was on the admin acct. It still asked for the domain admin info. I'm the only admin here so i have all the puters set to my info. On all the other puters in the bldg i will use try it with the users info. I do have those users set up on the server already, so i should work.

THANKS!!!
