I recently implemented domain security policies, once completed all users were required to change passwords to conform to new policy. Received a call from a user who was unable to logon. I reset the password and required him to change password on next logon. User logs on and system states password has expired. However, when he attempts to change password the system says that it is unable to change password because the domain is unavailable. Other users are able to logon to the network from this box and I'm able to ping the server from the box. Any suggestions out there?

You can deleten the user and recreate again

Can the user log on using different machine. Probably not, but worth a try. I've got a hunch noeleon is correct, that's what you'll have to do. Good luck. Glen A. Johnson
