Lately my IP Office 4.0 system has been acting up a bit. Now, on only a few phones, I am unable to log out of the user extensions. As far as I can tell, the user are not set to Force Login. On one of the users, this happened after setting up Supervisor Settings to monitor a call group. Now for no apparent reason, my phone also will not let me log out. I haven't touched any setting on my extension to cause this. Any thoughts or has anyone seen this before?

My bad, now that I look at it. I have already upgraded to R5.

Did you also upgrade the modules through the 3.2.999 loader when it was originally built? May be worth doing, as not doing so can cause this kind of sillyness :)

My vendor did the upgrades when we built a new server for the phone system. I just keep an eye on it and perform day to day configurations. Everything should be latest software as this was not done to long ago. I really don't want to call my vendor as they like to send me steep invoices for things like this.

Make sure you are set as a Hotdesk extension. Under users, your icon will be a red desk. If it's not, you are not set-up for log-in/log-out and hence cannot log-out.

I see, I see. I fixed it. Thank you for all the help. There was no login code. Yes, phones are not my specialty but hey got to start somewhere.

Yes, Some vendors/BP's often charge for things like this as they feel they shouldn't have pay for customers lack of knowledge by giving free education/engineering time, we howvever are more forgiving and also enjoy a good laugh :)
