Unable to lock server console!

Can anyone help me please?

I have a W2k server with SP1 and I am unable to use CTRL-ALT-DEL to pull up the Windows Security box. Consequently, I cannot lock the server console which concerns me greatly.

Also, if I log off as administrator, all the icons disappear and that's it! Nothing else happens, so I have to power cycle my server to get it back to being usable again.

I'm not aware of making any changes on my server but this has now been happening for some time is starting to annoy me! Any suggestions out there please????

When you say contol alt delete, are you talking remotely or on the keyboard? Also, try upgrading to sp2, (Stay away from sp3) and make sure you've got all your patches on. Glen A. Johnson

Hi,

can u please check one entry in the registry or in the Domain securitry policy .
The entry is Disable CTRL+DEL+ALT requirement for LOgon.
