Hi,

A client has said that on his server he gets an error

"Unable to load SQLOLEDB.dll resource not found" (wording may not be EXACT)

Does anyone know why this occurs? I have read somewhere that it is a difference between SQLOLEDB.dll and SQLOLEDB.rll

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Have you tried verifing that the user does indeed have the file? He might have accidently deleted it or renamed it. Or it might just be corrupted and need replaced.

Yes he has both files

SQLOLEDB.dll
SQLOLEDB.rll

Both are at the same path and both are the same version (possible problems posted on other pages)

There seems to be limited info on this problem and I am at a complete loss as to why it happens. Might only get the error message up once a month and its by no means regular.

Any help at all is gratefully recieved.
