Dear All,

I found the following message in my Linux server console :

VFS : File-Max Limit 4096 Reached.

Unable to load interpreter .....

After that, I can not do anything with the server.

Could you please explain to me what's wrong with my server.

Thanks & regards,
Hery S.

Hi,

Basically, its saying the Virtual File System has reached the set limit for open files. You can increase it as follows:

'echo 10000 > /proc/sys/fs/file-max'

(Where, for example, 10000 is the new limit for file handles.)
