Unable to edit internet adress in PAB

I am using Outlook 2000 and I am unable to edit the e-mail addresses in my personal address book.  I was able to do it in Outlook 97.   Any ideas?

select tools - select address book - double click the email address of the person - then when the contact info pops up, go to email address and double click it!
