unable to delete some files

I have run into this problem before a few times i have a file that i can not delete.. I have total admin writes to the file etc but no matter what i do apart from format the hard drive i cant delete the files

I even booted up in knoppix with NTFS read write support and tried to delete etc.. but still there...

 
Start by scheduling a chkdsk session, then rebooting and letting it run. Open My Computer, right-click the drive, Properties, Tools, Error Checking, check both option boxes, and schedule the chkdsk for next reboot.

Reboot.

Then try to delete the file(s). It is possible to have files that cannot be deleted:
