Hi all,

We have 3 internal MS DNS servers. Obviously one is marked as master and the others are backups.

Last week we removed an entry from the master DNS server, within a very short period of time it was removed from one of the backup servers, however it has remained in place on the other.

It cant be changed or deleted! Any ideas?

Many thanks

Hi,

Thank you for your reply, however I must have not explained it properly:

Within DNS on a DC it has a Host entry that cannot be deleted. I removed it from the other two DNS servers we have.

Since the server in question is not the primary I am assuming its not replicating correctly.

Any ideas?

*poof* That was definitely a bad misreading on my part. Sorry about that.

Are the zones AD-integrated? Most of the answers to your questions will be in the DNS event log on either the master server or the one that's not replicating. It will show you whether there is an actual replication problem, and what it's due to. When you find some replication errors, post them, and we'll get it taken care of.
