The mailbox does not have the user in AD at all and when I right click on it all the options to purge or reconnect is grayed out.
How do I delete this mail box??????

I forgot to say this is an Exchange 2000 server
First off, this is the 2000 Server forum, you should have searched and then posted here
To answer your question, you first have to run the Cleanup Agent (right click on your mail store).
