I am running Win ME on an Athlon 900 with plenty of RAM. Suddenly in Windows Explorer I am unable to create a new Folder. Going "File" "New" the drop down box is up too high. That is the "New" is adjacent to "Shortcut" and the "Folder" option is one place above and not accessible. I have 22 items below "Folder & "Shortcut" none of which I really need. Example "M3 Animation Document", "Microsoft Word Document", Microsoft Excel Document", "PhotoBase Document" and so on. I have removed these listings from the Registry, but they quickly re-appear.
My screen resolution is 800 by 600. However going to 1024 by 768 shortens the list and the "Folder" option is now directly opposite the "New" and is accessible. However 1024 by 768 does not suit me. Also, being an older person, I had the screen fonts set to large (125%). I have now reduced them to 112% and the list no longer reaches the bottom of the screen and all is OK with creating a new Folder.
However, 1. I want the larger Fonts and 2. if this listing grows, it seems I am facing a solution of continuing to reduce screen font size.
The question seems to be how do I delete those items from the "New" drop down box?
Thanks for any advice, Ron (alias rosco)
