HI!
I am running W2K server. I just re-installed VS.Net 1.0
but the problem persists.
The OS and INETPUB folders are on E drive, the VS.Net is on C drive. This configuration worked well at first, but some unrelated error prompted me to re-install (repair) Windows, and I had this issue ever since.

The the cause if it (maybe?) that I named my W2K server 'homeserver'. My SQL2K server successfully connects to 'homeserver' but VS.Net gives me an error:
"Unable to validate that the file path \HOMESERVER\ matches URL path http:\\localhost\WebApplication1"
I tried re-naming my application " but the error still appeared.

Also, I cannot open Internet Services Manager, (IIS), getting "Error connecting to homeserver. The system cannot find the path specified"
I did not specify any path! Does anyone know how to correct this?

Thanks
JoBlink
