I have a secure Access DB, current size of 100mb.
There are approximately 200 tables, 250 queries, 200 forms, and there can be up to 10 users logged in at once.
The DB runs on a network - metaframe
Frequently, users are getting errors messages 'Out of memory,' for example, or the DB is locking on them. The other thing is I am now unable to compact the DB - I get the error message
"Record(s) can't be read. no read permission on
\\london\applications\HEALTH&SAFETY\COPY\SecureH&S.mdb"
Other Databases compact fine and the permissions are set-up in the same manner.

Is the Database too large? its the largest in size I have

Try downloading some freeware from then go to freeware and download MDBTask or MDB Repair tool.

I have found the repairing tools very useful because they significantly reduce the size of Access Databases.

Good luck
