B4 I start here is a quick explanation of our network setup.

sco unix server with about 30 win98 pc's on the lan via hubs. We use static addressing TCP/IP. File and printer sharing is enabled on all pc's.

We have 4 other sites on subnets all connected to the same unix server. These sites are not effected.

All fine until the other day whe I was trying to add a networked printer to a client pc. I was unable to browse the network so I restarted the pc and tried to browse the network via network neighborhood, no joy. Told the girl she would have to live with just her local printer and thought no more of it.

A few days later someone reports they can't browse the network! I try and get the same result. I visit a few more pc's and find the same problem on them all.(Hmmmm)

I have looked thru some old threads and tried a few of the things suggested but to no avail. I am looking for a place to start really. One thing I have noticed is that on my pc I can see my pc and our email server but no others and from the email server I can see itself and my pc. I have restarted both of these pc's but again to no avail.

In all cases I can access the resources by using the ip address / pc name etc.

Any clues would be very welcome.
