I am sporadically getting an error 1098 API error which returns the message "unable to allocate global memory". This comes on the call of regfn() in the foxtools library when registering the WriteProfileString function. Rebooting makes it go away so I am assuming that something is using too much memory. Any known ways to avoid this error?

What version of FPW are you running? FPW2.6a? What OS are you running, how much memory does this system have, and what else is "normally" running? What do you have in your CONFIG.FPW, especially the MEMLIMIT setting?
