I'm following the Microsoft documentation for setting up EAP-TLS and i'm stuck at trying to add a newly created certificate template into the CA so it can be issued.
I'm on a Windows 2003 server standard edition. I've loaded the CA as an Ent. root CA. I've copied the "Authenticated Session" template and used that copy as a "Client Authentication-User". The problem comes when I try to add the certificates into the CA so they can be issued. I right click on the Certificates Template folder and select New adn then Certificate Template to Issue. This brings up a list of certificates that can be added to the CA to be issued. My new certificate doesnt show up in the list. The new certificate is a Version 2 certificate. I tried it on a Win 2003 Svr Ent. Ed. and it worked like a charm but I swear it's supposed to work on standard edition too. Has anyone run into this before?????
Thanks in advance for any info .....
Do it right the first time, and there won't be a second time!
