Ultra 10 not booting

My Ultra 10 suddenly stopped booting and I'm not even getting an ok prompt.

The keyboard lights come on and off twice indicating the post completed sucessfully I guess.

The CDROM flashes, I can hear the disk drive initializing and then nothing on the display.

Will connecting a terminal on the serial port help in any way ?

try poweing off the system, hold dwon the stop and n key and power on at the same time. Hold stop n for a while. This will reset your nvram so if you had any custom settings they will be removed. You will have to set them back up after.

Thanks, that fixed the problem. Actually I did it before I saw your reply but you were dead on. After resetting back to default values I got the ok prompt and was able to boot.

I have this system hooked up through a KVM and I was trying to figure out the keyboard sequence on a PC keyboard for the power key and I guess that did something to the prom settings.

Cool. This problem seems to occur more with the ultra 5 and 10 more than any other sun system i have delt with.
