Hi

We have been using the app(IOS8) for some weeks now and compared to the last Communicator effort it does actually work remotely and via 3g/4g.

I do have a slight problem with the client as when I'm closing down apps and accidently close the client, it will not re-connect when I try to open it again. I have left it for 10 minutes, 10 hours and it still requires me to switch my phone off and then back on again. This doesn't always resolve it and could take 2 or 3 reboots on the device.

Does anyone have an answer to this? Is there a setting/timer/wrap up on the device or the system to resolve it?

Hi

i am running this as well but have not seen this problem

my phone is a iphone4S running iOS8.3

the app is build 1.1.6

i am using a full URL not IP address and is works fine

The UCP is the following version

Appl Version : A.0Cb OCT/14
Boot Version : 1.0Ai JUN/14
Kernel Version : 3.0Af

Hi

The only difference I can see is my app is running on 1.1.7 and we use the public facing IP rather than URL.

But, I may have found the issue! 90% of the time it happens when im at home and when I leave in the morning and use my 4g data it kicks back in again. Will try switching off Wi-Fi and enabling it again later rather than switching off the handset. I suspect it's my standard freebie router.

Thanks for the input above.

Is using URL more secure and reliable or just good practise?

Update

Switching Wi-Fi off and back on again kicks the app back into life. As per usual the fault lies with the router not the system.

Cheers
