I'm not to happy about this. I'm having a customer where the One-X portal is shutting down after 3-4 weeks.

But this issue is regarding the VM.. Hopefully this patch will solve this issue to.

Yet another nail in the coffin of a great but poorly developed idea.

I wonder if they technology just isnt up for the task yet.

Perhaps they should built a server that looks like an expansion module for VM / One-X etc. (app server)

Did anybody read it?
Ofcourse it will fix issues with One-x because the SSD fails.
The fix will prevent doing this and then it all should keep working.

Lovely. At least it sounds like this can be done remotely and won't require hardware replacement. I hate those UC modules, but they're good for adding more overtime to the paycheck.

Biv, if they are in use then they need to be replaced.
If they are on the shelve then you can apply the patch

No, if I'm not mistaken you can use the patch, as long as the issue didn't occur....

The patch solve a log file that grows during the days/weeks and it kills the SSD because the is no more room left.

A log file issue? That is weird. The system's I've seen go into read only, but have plenty of space left on them. Maybe it's a certain partition that gets hosed up.

It is because of the write actions.
Those write actions should not happen.
A solid state disk (SSD) will break when there are too many write actions.
