We have a UCM we need to match to the IP Office release (9.0.500.972), is there a list that reflects which version of UCM software I need to match the IP Office?

Also, we tried just uploading the ZIP file and it didn't like it. Tried the ISO via the USB port and it didn't like it either, eventually it bricked so we got a new one on the way.

I think the documentation sucks. I have read the mentioned post above, but just can't figure it out. In fact, I have never been able to successfully update any Linux based system, whether its just a UCM or Server edition.

Help? Just a plain Jane - Do this - Do this - Do this would be helpful.

Thanks!

Depends what version you currently have.

If upgrading the UCM from Service Pack 3 or 4, the “upgrade.zip” file can used to
upgrade to the Service Pack 5 release. It will then be necessary to apply the updated
Linux “bash” if this has not been applied previously.

Note: If upgrading the UCM from a release prior to 9.0 Service Pack 3 the .ISO file must
be used. The Web Control Panel and “upgrade.zip” file cannot be used to upgrade to
this release. A software upgrade or installation can only be done using the USB key
created with the “UNetbootin” software. For further information on preparing the USB
key with UNetbootin, please see section 3.8.2.1 of the “Unified Communications Module
9.0 Installation and Maintenance” manual.

Let's assume the UCM is at 9.0.0.0 and we are updating to 9.0.500.972.

Would I still need the ISO or can I use the ZIP file via web interface?
