New system install Rls 9.0 with UC Module. Installed UC Module but cannot access it via the Voicemail Pro Client. Is it possible that the UC Module got an IP address via DHCP on startup? How can I find out what IP address it has?

Did you follow the ignition process for the module?

NTS Direct

thet depends on how you configured the UCM during the ignition process, but yes it is possible to configure the UCM fro DHCP (not ecommended fro a production environment)

you can see the IP address by checking in the config, look under units.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

When you did not run the ignition then you can access it by using Then you need to run the ignition and give it it's own IP address.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Tried giving the UC Module 192.168.42.2 during the ignition process. However, when I check the IP address in the Control Unit tab, it says the UC Module IP Address is: 48.96.254.8 I have no idea where that could have come from.

Hi VTTD1870

What is the LAN ip address? If it is in the 48.96.254.x range that might be why you got that address.

Regards

Attach a monitor and keyboard and login.
Then type system-config-network and change it to what it should be.
Then type service network restart and try to access it again.

Keep seeing error saying that some other host already uses address <ip address>

I cannot ping the ucm either.

Then give it a different IP address.
When you have done that then try again and see what has the other IP address.

Right now, I have the IP Office and a laptop plugged into a hub. There are no other devices.

Connect on the LAN2 on the UC module. That has a default IP add of 192.168.43.1. Check on IPO manager the IP add on LAN1 tab.. =D
