I am currently on 98 SE (128 meg, 750, 10 gig)and in order to minimize an apparent video card/driver problem, need to upgrade to 2000. Same error (winnt32.dll) pops up every time and does not allow installation to continue. Is there a solution other than clean install? All running programs have been closed, with nothing running in the system tray.

Try removing the potential problem drivers from Device manager prior to upgrade. (Video, NIC, Sound, etc. {Suggest you try without Video only first... this is usually the problem}) Good Luck. -md
