I am getting errors trying to extend tempdb. Tempdb is already set to 3500 but I am running into problems when I run the bcp command. There are 50 million records in one table and is fails to export the full amount of records and bcp fails at 1 million records with the error "unable to allocate more pages to the default group". Any suggestions?

Are you sure it's the TempDB having problems and not your user DB? The user DB might have a max size.

Also, try switching your user DB to Bulk Logged mode before running your bcp command and see if that helps. Don't forget to switch your DB back to Full after you're done, though.

I am still having problems, bcp command runs quite happily if the records in the table are 10 million records are below. Is there a limited to the bcp command.

You mention changing the DB to bulk logged mode before running the bcp command, would this have any effect on the database while users are connected.
