I have a question about certain kinds of locks that are shown in a snapshot for locks. There are 2 kinds of locks that I can not find any documentation on.These locks are:
INTERNAL P LOCK
&
INTERNAL V LOCK

IBM documentation has been no help.I have been through their online support documents where i found a definition for INTERNAL P LOCK but no explaination of why they are there or what exactly they do.I have yet to find even a definition for INTERNAL V LOCK.If anyone can help to clarify this it will be greatly appreciated.

p_Locks and l-Locks are data sharing global locking mechanisms. p_locks are inter-subsystem locks owned by a member DB2 subsystem which lock physical resources. l-Locks are inter or intra subsystem locks owned by transactions.
