Hi,

Does anyone know how to remove the "no messages are waiting," announcement at the end of a customized greeting on a Type 1 (listen only) mailbox?

thanks

I'm not sure your application for this Type mailbox but it is usually added as an Information mailbox users would call to hear a message. There is a list of contributers that are allowed to compose and send messages to this Listen Only box. "Hello, all problems with _____ have been resolved." Once a message is left, the "no messages are waiting," announcement goes away.

I'm looking for a mailbox type that an external caller can call in and hear a message such as "We're closed, plase acall back at .....) What type of mailbox would I use that would only play an announcment, and disconnect the callers?

Type 1 is the answer. We use a Type 1 for our Emergency/Snow line. Our employees call this mailbox to hear if we are open or closed and then are disconnected. Any particular programming questions, just ask.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was thinking the mailbox greeting wasa the actual message. I realized you have to send a message to the mailbox to hear the greeting...

Thanks for the assistance

Hey now you're cooking with gas. Sorry I wasn't clear, that's what I meant with "compose and send messages to this Listen Only box."
