Our printer server had a hardware issue. So, we used print migration tool to export the all printers' settings to a new server. Then renamed the new server as same as the old printer server so that we don't need to re-set printers in each workstation. Every thing works fine except we always see two same name printers listed when installing a printer. How can we purge or keep only one printer listed?

I don't understand, do you mean two printers called "Accounting" or two HP LaserJet 4200 printer definitions?

If both share names are on the same print server, open each and check the port definitions for differences--each could have a different IP. If they are the same, set one to a local print port--lpt1 or something--and delete the printer. If you don't change the port you may delete the port for both printers.

David.
