Anybody able to help on these.
1: My keyboard seems to be really messed up in Win2K. Whenever I open an application, like Excel or Word, even Eudora for my E-mail, a lot of times I hear additional noises from the keyboard, though I have not pushed any buttons. Also, typing like "4fhgt45s" comes up in Excel or Word, though I have NOT hit any keys. Another is the "FIND" utility on ALL types of programs is coming up by itself, nearly always trying to find the letter "h". I have checked for virus, though none was found, with the latest update and engine for McAfee 5. Not sure if it is a virus.
2: I have changed my Logon password, in system - hardware - device manager, though it hasn't changed on my boot-up. I get told that I cannot logon, though it reverts back to a BLANK password, so I can logon, though not with a password I want.

Thanks for your help!!

1) Do you have another keyboard you can put on this system?

2) Device Manager? Are you trying to set a BIOS password, or a user password? Jennifer Sigman

Does your keyboard work ok in safe mode?
Have you tried another keyboard?

Do not try to change your password till your keyboard is sorted out.

Has anything ever been spilled on your keyboard? Maybe you've already checked that, but it sounds like sticky keys.

Sounds like a bad case of Cappuchino keyboard to me.

Are you using voice recognition software with a microphone. Sometimes this can cause the kind of problem you describe with the keyboard.Pull out the mike.
