Is it possible to tie two IP Office 500 systems together to support 400 to 450 users?

Thanks

SCN supports up to 500 Users so the answer is YES with no more then 272 Users each or maximum of 500 users across 16 sites

So if you had one site with 2 buildings, each having 200 users, it would be appropriate to use 2 IPO 500?

I am asking because I have one Avaya rep telling me that this scenario will work and have another one that tells me that i need an S8300C media server along with a ton of expensie items.

it will work but the S8300 is probably the better way to go (it is a higher end product with more redundancy), are you deploying an all IP solution for this or do you have digital sets and then just link the two sites together?

All IP phones. We are in a temporary building while we are finishing the construction of phase one of our new facilities. Phase one will have 200 users. Within 2 to 3 years, we will add on a second building (attached) to the first one and add another 200 users.

Or you can go for the multivantage express (S8500 and G450)
Cheaper then the S8300 because it is a packet instead of separate licenses for voicemail etc etc etc

go with the S8300, the one dealer might quote you an IP Office because they are not allowed to sell S-series. Both systems are able to do IP phones but the S8300 is the better solution for the amount of phones you have. They can use the same phones too and if you use the cheaper phones (1600 series for the S-series won't work on IP Office) then you might be even cheaper with the S-series system or not much more expensive and you will be happier in the long run. Have the provider that quoted the IP Office give you a quote on the S-8300 solution.
