Hi all

Our main office is here in Miami and as you all know we always get hit with some hurracaines. My company has alocated a budged to setup two exchange server in some type of redundancy. Now what I have in mind wich I don't know if will work is the following.

I will place one exchange server at the office and another exchange server at a collocation center here in Miami, in the office and collocation we have a full T1. Each end will be connected using Juniper VPN IPSec. Now what question is the following will all the mail get replicated? Will each server be independent in case one is down ? Will each server have to be a domain controller? Will I need a third party tool?

Thanks very much .

Exchange doesnt support replication of email only public folders. (although it will be in exchange 12 in a year or 2)

Doubleclick or neverfail can gelp with the replication - if you want instant cut-over.

Yes exchange won't run without a nearby dc/global catalog.
