Hi Everyone,

This probabily sounds like a strange question. But I have two Windows 2003 dns servers on the same network (one is a backup), they both use the built in dns server.

The problem is that they both have different records and they need to be syncronised. Is there anyway that I can store one copy of the dns records on a networked hard drive (that is backed up), and just point the 2 servers to look in this location for the records?

Thanks very much to anyone that can help.

Kindest Regards,

Nick

You need to setup one as a secondary DNS server for the zones you are authoritative for. See the help for 'To add a secondary server for an existing zone' for details on how to do this.
