Bobby,
I guess using SNORT through IPCop must hide some of that from me because all of it was setup within IPCop, you just had the option to pay for updates right away vs waiting 7 days for the free updates. I took the free updates, not real worried on my home network if the IDS signatures are not up-to-date exactly as soon as they come out - now if I was a business or worried about intrusions - I would pay for the up date service.
IPCop lets you view the log in a tab on the IPCop admin screen - real easy to work with it this way!
I have got to say that IPCop is a very good firewall, I even saw it listed in one of the network mags when they were doing a story about a business setup, the business was using IPCop as the firewall in the network right along the Cisco routers and switches just as the next story had PIX or ASA firewalls in place.
