Hi There,
I have a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, on a AMD 2800xp, with 1024 gb of RAM on an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board, running XP. I cant get the Video In to work.i have tryed to re-install the drivers over and over. If i run the ATI multimedia centre, PC Check function, it say's that the capture driver INF files are not installed. Well its got me stumped any one got any ideas?.. or even better a fix?

Cheers.

Have you got the vid out connected or enabled. I know for a fact that the older vivo cards can not do capture at the same time as video output. My 9100 vivo reports that the vid in driver is not installed although works fine when i try to use it, but I did have problems at first ensuring that all outputs were disconnected or disabled

Have you run initialization in MMC? Have you downloaded the latest Catalyst drivers, and followed their installation instructions to the letter? What version of MMC?

im not sure weather or not its enabled or disabled?. were do i do that?
And i dont think i have run the initalization in mmc? how do i do that?.

i have installed there drivers to the letter, a few times now. still no luck,

thanks again guys,

Start the TV. The control has a box with a check mark in it. If you hover over it, it will say setup. Click it. In the screen that comes up, click on the 'Display' tab. It has a button toward the bottom which says 'Initialization Wizard'. Click it and answer the questions. You should get both video and sound when you are done.

To disable the vid/tv out right click the desktop and go to properties. Then select the settings tab and click the advanced button. You'll then get a window with a lot of tabs, one of which will be displays.

On mine (and I think the GUI is the same) you'll get 4 panes in the lower part of the window showing your monitor, TV, DVI output and one other. The top left button on each pane enables and disables the display. Make sure that only the monitor is enabled then click apply.

The vid capture should work when you try now.
