Is there a setting somewhere in 98se to enable an external audio surce to use a computer's sound card's input ports? The MS sound recorder gets the signal, but not sure how to route the sound card input to it's outputs (and have the sound card play audio that is coming in). Or not sure if it's possible. (TIL'm trying to hook up tv audio to computer sound system.) Thx, hope to hear from someone today to get this project finished.

Try going into the Sound Properties (the little yellow speaker guy in the system-tray at the bottom right of the screen) and on the Playback settings, click off the mute box under Line-In. With the audio hooked up, you should hear it off the computer speakers.

Excellent advice!!!!!!!!Since I never had the line in box shown in the master volume controls, it was defaulted to 'mute'. Much thanks
