Is there any type of solution being used that doesn't involve the purchase of a secondary phone system that would connect to the Avaya? I have one trader requesting a turret phone, so a full blown system is out of the question. Has anyone done this setup with Avaya equipment?

what do you mean by a turret phone? If you are talking of a call centre type phone then Avaya has all of the capabilities built into the system.

You need to provide more detail.

You could use a 2420 with the expansion module to get more buttons and use Personal CO Trunks for your ringdowns. I know that that is not ideal for a trader as they would like to keep all of their ARD lines open and he would probably like the capability of having 600 lines at his disposal, but that is the best you can do with what Avaya offers.

Turret phones are usually heavy duty key system phones with lots of buttons and built for heavy usage. There are many kinds of phones (analog, digital, etc.). I suggest you find out the exact model they are considering and research the interface required from an Avaya switch and proceed from there.
