I'm automatting a bunch of downloads in the background and I'd like to disable the chime that signals the d/l is complete without affecting other media.

Any ideas would be appreciated, especially if automatable.

Thanks,
Brian

I think its the "Asterisk" sound in Sounds & Audio Devices in Control Panel.

Of course, disabling that sound means any other system event that plays that Asterisk event won't sound either. I don't know of any way to disable it *just* for downloads sorry.

I'll give it a try. In general I like my PC on mute anyway.

Thanks
